Vive la France! A Special Wine Dinner

2009 June 8
by Jon Smith

Join us as Cork & Bottle partners up with Robert Kacher Selections and Chef Dan Esses to celebrate Bastille Day with a very special Provençal Wine Dinner at Restaurant Iris on Tuesday, July 14.  A reception before hand will begin at 6:30 with dinner starting at 7:00.

Having worked in the south of France as a chef, Chef Esses has come up with a very typical summertime menu from Provence.  The cost for 5 courses, each course complete with wine, is only $80 a person, including tax and tip.  Paired with the menu will be the beautiful French wines from Robert Kacher Selections and joining us along with Chef Dan will be Mr. Craig Baker, Director of Sales for Robert Kacher Selections, who visits France regularly, knows his producers well and will speak about the wines and his hands-on knowledge of them.

For reservations, please call Jon or Laurie at Cork & Bottle*, 504.483.6314.  As you know, Restaurant Iris is not terribly large and we are limiting this dinner to 40 seats, so don’t delay.

The Menu

(*Restaurant Iris is normally closed on Tuesdays, however partners Ian and Laurie have graciously allowed their good friend, Chef Dan Esses, to take over their kitchen for the night and thus Iris will not be taking reservations for this dinner.  You’ll need to make them with us).
