A Dinner Guaranteed to Raise your Spirits
Join us at Calcasieu on the evening of Thursday, August 20th as Cork & Bottle hosts its very first Spirits Dinner featuring the super premium rums from Ron Zacapa, Oronoco and Ron Pampero. Joining us as guest host will be Michael Martensen, Rum Ambassador for Diageo (that’s got to be one of the coolest job titles ever, “Hi, I’m a rum ambassador”). Anyway, the dinner begins at 7:00 and costs only $60 a head for four courses and 4 super premium rums, including the newly released Ron Zacapa XO, perhaps one of the finest rums produced. Also, we won’t let the cat out of the bag, but we’ve also lined up a VERY special take home gift for everyone at the dinner.
Why a rum dinner you ask? Well, it makes sense for a number of reasons, the least of which being that the handcrafted, artisanal nature of these rums from South and Central America are perfect matches with the rustic elegance of Chef Donald Link’s food. Certainly, though, you can’t argue with the fact that having a great meal with some of the finest rums produced isn’t a bad way to spend a Thursday night in August.
